Serial Bank Robbery Suspects Arrested in Wood Village After Multi-Agency Investigation

On Saturday November 16, Sunday November 17 and Monday November 18, 2013, multiple banks were robbed in the Portland Metro area by a male wielding a demand note.

Investigators with the Portland Police Bureau, Gresham Police Department, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Scappoose Police Department, and the Washington County Sheriff's Office worked together to share information and develop possible suspects.

This evening at approximately 7:00 p.m., detectives were conducting further investigation when two suspects committed a bank robbery in the presence of the investigators. The suspects attempted to escape capture but were taken into custody by Robbery detectives. The robbery was inside the Fred Meyer store, located a 22855 Northeast Park Lane in Wood Village.

29-year-old Ryan Joseph Beisley and 20-year-old Travis David Johnson were arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Jail on a US Marshals Hold. Formal Federal Bank Robbery charges are pending.

No additional information is available this evening but Federal affidavits are expected to be available on Wednesday.
