23-Year-Old Man Arrested for Sexually Assaulting His Ex-Girlfriend's Mother

On Friday December 13, 2013, at approximately 8:45 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to a residence in the area of Northeast 68th Avenue and Glisan Street on the report of a burglary and sexual assault.

Officers contacted the victim, a 57-year-old female, and learned that she'd been physically and sexually assaulted by a known suspect, 23-year-old Michael Leroy Landon. Officers learned that the suspect was the victim's daughter's ex-boyfriend.

The victim was transported to a Portland hospital for treatment and officers responded to Landon's home where he was arrested without incident.

Landon was charged with Kidnap in the First Degree, Burglary in the First Degree, Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree, Sex Abuse in the First Degree, Attempted Rape in the First Degree, Coercion, Strangulation, and Assault in the Fourth Degree.

Landon was booked into the Multnomah County Jail and will be arraigned later today.

Investigators do not believe there are any additional victims or suspects.
