Fairness Hearing Scheduled for February 2014 on City of Portland Settlement Agreement with USDOJ

On December 19, 2013, United States Federal Court Judge Michael Simon held a status hearing on the Department of Justice Settlement Agreement with the City of Portland. Judge Simon set the fairness hearing for 9:00 a.m. on February 18, 2014 in the Mark O. Hatfield Federal Courthouse, located at 1000 Southwest 3rd Avenue.

The "Notice of Fairness Hearing" and the "Testimony Form," are available for viewing and download by visiting http://www.portlandoregon.gov/police/64070

If members of the public wish to make comment to the court, they should follow the instructions on the testimony form.

"The Portland Police Bureau is committed to working with our mental health and community partners and partner agencies to implement all of the items listed in the Department of Justice Settlement Agreement," said Chief Mike Reese.
