Tobacco Shop Robbed in Northeast Portland's Cully Neighborhood

On Saturday January 18, 2014, at 12:40 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at PDX Tobacco, located at 4541 Northeast 60th Avenue.

Arriving officers contacted the victim and learned that the three suspects entered the store, one armed with a handgun. The suspects demanded money and cigarettes from the victim and after obtaining an undisclosed amount of both they left the area. It is not known if the suspects left on foot or in a vehicle.

The suspects are described as Asian or Pacific Islander males in their 20s, 5'7" to 5'9" tall, medium build.

The Portland Police Bureau would like to remind businesses to regularly check to make sure that their surveillance cameras are properly working and recording, as surveillance video and images greatly assist investigators. Businesses without surveillance systems are encouraged to obtain them and train employees on their use.
