Mill Park Neighborhood Stabbing Injures One Man - Girlfriend Arrested

This morning, Sunday January 19, 2014, at 6;45 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the area of Southeast 127th Avenue and Market Street on the report of a stabbing.

Officers arrived in the area and located the victim and suspect nearby. The victim, a male adult, was suffering from a stab wound to the side. He was transported to a Portland hospital with what is believed to be a non-life-threatening injury.

The suspect, a female adult, was taken into custody without incident. Preliminary information indicates that the couple argued over drugs resulting in the stabbing.

Investigators from the Domestic Violence Reduction Unit (DVRU) and Criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Division (FED) have responded to continue the investigation.
