CORRECTION - Police Investigating a Residential Robbery in Northeast Portland's Argay Neighborhood

This morning, Monday January 20, 2014, at 9:26 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to a residence in the 4000 block of Northeast 125th Place on the report of a residential robbery.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted the victim, a 71-year-old man, who told police that someone knocked at his front door and when he answered it, two men pushed their way into his home, assaulted him and stole items from the home. The suspects then ran out the door and disappeared into the neighborhood

Several police officers, including a K-9 Unit, searched the neighborhood but did not locate anyone matching the suspects descriptions.

The suspects are described as two white males in their 20s, one wearing a blue shirt, the other was short, heavy and wearing glasses.

The victim received minor injuries and was treated by medical personnel at the scene.

Investigators are working with the victim to determine what property was stolen and to develop any possible motives for the robbery.
