###ORIGINAL MESSAGE BELOW###
On Sunday January 26, 2014, at 9:39 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a robbery at Dutch Brothers Coffee, located at 13640 Southeast Division Street. As officers were en route, additional information was broadcast that the suspect was last seen running eastbound on Division Street and that he implied that he had a handgun.
Several officers, including a Police K-9, searched the neighborhood but did not locate anyone matching the suspect's description.
Approximately 15 minutes after clearing the neighborhood perimeter, 23-year-old Matthew Paul Stockwell flagged down an officer to report that he'd been robbed. The officer recognized that Stockwell closely matched the description of the Dutch Brothers robbery suspect. After further investigation, Stockwell in-fact identified as the robbery suspect and he was subsequently arrested.
Stockwell was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on a charge of Robbery in the Second Degree and will be arraigned today.
