The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help in locating a wanted hit and run suspect.
58-year-old Victorio Nogueda-Barrera has an outstanding warrant for Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver (Hit and Run) after he was identified as the suspect in the hit and run death of 56-year-old Tommy Gann in February 2013.
The investigation began on February 14, 2013, when Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a hit and run to a pedestrian in the 1400 block of Southeast Holgate Boulevard.
The victim, 56-year-old Tommy Gann, was transported to a Portland hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.
The suspect vehicle was described as a white Ford van, which was recovered by investigators on Friday February 15, 2013. Investigators were able to identify the suspect in the hit and run as Nogueda-Barrera.
Nogueda-Barrera is described as a Hispanic male, 5'11" tall and 200 pounds and investigators believe he has fled to either California or Mexico to avoid prosecution.
Investigators believe that Nogueda-Barrera may be using the alias of "Adolfo Rodriguez" to avoid detection.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony, and tipsters can remain anonymous. Crime Stoppers first offered a reward in this case on February 15, 2013.
