The suspect arrested in Wednesday night's bias assault in the Lloyd District used an alias when arrested. The arrested person's true name is Frederick Edward Miller, 37.
Miller used a relative's name when arrested last night but after being booked into jail and fingerprinted, his true identity became known to law enforcement.
Additional charges may be added by the District Attorney's Office.

On Wednesday February 12, 2014, at 6:49 p.m., a North Precinct officer on patrol came across a fight at Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Halsey Street. Additional officers were called to the scene to assist with the investigation.
Officers learned that 37-year-old Frederick Edward Miller was walking southbound on MLK when he used racially bias-based language. One victim walking by, 32-year-old Angelo Finzo, responded verbally to Miller and Miller violently attacked him and assaulted him.
A second victim, 32-year-old Joye Sanders, walked out of McDonald's restaurant, saw Finzo being assaulted and grabbed on to Miller's arm to attempt to stop the fight. Miller punched Sanders in the face.
Officers placed Miller into custody as he continued to yell bias-based language toward Finzo.
Finzo was transported to a Portland hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries. Sanders was treated at the scene by medical personnel.
Miller was transported to the Detective Division and interviewed by Bias Crimes Detectives.
Miller was arrested for Assault in the Second Degree, Assault in the Fourth Degree and Intimidation in the Second Degree and booked into the Multnomah County Jail.
