UPDATE - Major Crash Team Investigating Fatal Hit and Run Pedestrian Crash on Powell Boulevard

Investigators are asking for the public's help in finding the suspect vehicle in tonight's deadly hit and run to a pedestrian.

The suspect vehicle is described as a silver mini-van, likely with significant front and and windshield damage. The vehicle was last seen heading eastbound on Powell.

Anyone with information about this crash is asked to call the police non-emergency line at (503) 823-3333.

This evening, Saturday February 15, 2014, at 6:26 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a pedestrian struck on Southeast Powell Boulevard at 124th Avenue.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the victim, who died at the scene.

Initial reports indicate that the vehicle involved in tbe crash fled the scene prior to police arriving in the area.

Powell Boulevard is closed in both directions from 122nd to 126th Avenues as the Traffic Division's Major Crash Team responds to conduct an investigation.
