Off-Duty Portland Police Officer Arrested for DUII and Reckless Driving

On Tuesday February 18, 2014, at 9:51 p.m., an off-duty member of the Portland Police Bureau was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII) and Reckless Driving.

Kent Scott, an off-duty officer, was arrested by Portland Police officers after a traffic stop at Southeast 148th Avenue and Division Street. After being evaluated and processed for DUII, Officer Scott was cited for Reckless Driving and DUII.

Officer Scott is a 22-year-veteran of the Portland Police Bureau and was assigned to the Transit Police Division.

Officer Scott has been placed in an off-street assignment in the Operation Support Unit pending the ongoing investigation and internal review process.

The Portland Police Bureau cannot comment further regarding ongoing personnel matters.
