Two subjects were arrested on Friday night in connection with a shooting call at Northeast 90th Avenue and Sandy Boulevard.
30-year-old Rome Tavai and 26-year-old Fano Lemusu were arrested without incident.
Arriving officers located Tavai near the intersection of 90th Avenue and Going Street and took him into custody. Inside Tavai's vehicle, officers recovered a short-barreled shotgun and a handgun.
Officers contacted Lemusu (Tavai's cousin) parked nearby, and located a second handgun along with several prescription drugs.
Officers learned that Tavai fired off several rounds into the air using a handgun then put the gun into his car.
All three firearms were seized as evidence.
Lemusu was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, Possession of Methadone, Possession of a Loaded Firearm in the City, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
Tavai was charged with Possession of an Illegal Weapon, Possession of a Loaded Firearm (two counts), Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (three counts), and Discharging a Firearm in the City (three counts).
Both were booked into the Multnomah County Jail and will be arraigned on Monday.
Officers from North Precinct, the K-9 Unit and the Gang Enforcement Team were involved in this investigation.

This afternoon, Friday February 28, 2014, at 4:41 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of a man firing a gun at Northeast 90th Avenue and Sandy Boulevard.
Officers arrived in the area and located the suspect who was taken into custody. There are no reported injuries and officers are beginning to process the crime scene.
Sandy Boulevard is closed to traffic briefly, from 90th to 94th Avenues, as officers check for evidence.
No additional information is available at this time and updates will be provided when they become available.
