On Tuesday March 4, 2014, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to Southeast Grand Avenue and Burnside Street on the report of a man yelling and swinging a knife around on the corner. The caller reported that the man appeared to be in a mental health crisis and that nobody was approaching the man.

Officers arrived and saw that the subject, later identified as 45-year-old Angeles Adiel Ceh-Terreiro, was waving a knife around as a TriMet bus stopped on the corner and passengers were attempting to board the bus.

Several officers, including one carrying a less lethal shotgun, approached the Ceh-Terreiro and gave him commands to drop the knife. Ceh-Terreiro complied and was taken into custody without further incident. Officers discovered that Ce-Terreiro was under the influence of alcohol.

Ceh-Terreiro was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on a charge of Disorderly Conduct in the First Degree.
