This morning, Thursday March 13, 2014, North Precinct police officers responded to a report of sexual assault which occurred late in the evening March 12 or early in the morning of March 13, 2014. Officers contacted the victim, an 18-year-old female, who reported that she had been sexually assaulted in the area of N. Knott St. and N. Mississippi Ave. Detectives responded and began an investigation.

While still early in the investigation, initial reports indicate that the suspects are a male black approximately 6' tall and possibly with facial tattoos and a male white, also approximately 6' tall.

Detectives continue to investigate this incident and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Detective Jennifer Musser at 503-823-1097.

The Portland Police Bureau would like to remind community members that stranger-to-stranger sexual assaults are fortunately a rare occurrence and the Bureau makes every attempt to share this information as soon as practicable.
