The victim in last night's shooting was a 17-year-old male. His injuries were not life-threatening.
Investigators learned that the victim, along with the three people detained by police, were standing on the corner of Southeast 119th Avenue and Oak Street when a vehicle drove up to them and stopped, a passenger got out of the vehicle and fired multiple rounds at the group, then got back into the car, which fled the area.
At this point there is no useful suspect information.

This evening, Friday March 21, 2014, at 6:52 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the area of Southeast 119th Avenue and Stark Street on the report of a shooting with one person injured.
Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the victim at 119th and Stark. The victim, a male in his late teens or early 20s, has been transported to a Portland hospital with what is believed to be a non-life-threatening injury.
Officers canvassing the neighborhood have detained three people possibly connected to the shooting.
A suspected crime scene has been located by officers at Southeast 119th Avenue and Oak Street.
Based on preliminary information, the Gang Enforcement Team has responded and will be conducting an investigation.
Traffic along Southeast Oak Street from 122nd to 118th will be affected as investigators process the crime scene.
