32-Year-Old Man Injured in Suspected Gang Shooting Overnight at Southeast 99th and Oak Street

On Saturday March 22, 2014, at 2:57 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a shooting with one man down.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the 32-year-old male victim lying injured in the street. The victim was not cooperative with police or medical personnel but eventually was transported to a Portland hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Preliminary information indicates that this was a drive-by shooting.

The Gang Enforcement Team responded to take over the investigation.

It is not known if this shooting is an anyway connected with Friday night's shooting at Southeast 119th Avenue and Oak Street.
