Public's Help Sought Identifying "Jabba the Robber" After Woodstock Neighborhood Bank Robbery (Photo)

On Monday March 24, 2014, at 10:50 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of an armed bank robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank branch, located at 4515 Southeast Woodstock Boulevard.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted bank employees who told police that the suspect entered the bank, armed with a handgun, and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect walked out of the bank and disappeared into the neighborhood.

Several officers searched the neighborhood but did not locate anyone matching the suspect's description.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, 6'2" tall, stocky build, dark eyes, pale skin, wearing all dark clothes.

Two surveillance images of the suspect are being released to aid the public with identification.

Robbery detectives have nicknamed the suspect "Jabba the Robber" due to his size and choice of dark clothing.
