UPDATE - ARREST: Stabbing in Southeast Portland's Foster-Powell Neighborhood Injures One Man - Suspect in Custody

51-year-old Nantharath Thilavanh was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on a charge of Assault in the Second Degree in connection with this stabbing.

The victim, 49-year-old Sergey Evan Feodoroff, continues to recover from non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators learned that the two men, who knew each other, argued over some money which led to the stabbing.



This evening, Thursday March 27, 2014, at 9:39 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a stabbing in the 5100 block of Southeast 76th Avenue.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the victim, a male in his 40s or 50s, suffering from stab wounds to the chest. The victim was transported to a Portland hospital with traumatic but not believed to be life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, a male in his 40s, was located in a neighboring apartment and taken into custody without incident.

Officers learned that the two men know each other and were at the Fred Meyer store bottle return area, located at Southeast 82nd Avenue and Foster Road, when they got into a dispute resulting in the stabbing.

Assault Detail detectives will be investigating the incident and there is no risk to the public.
