UPDATE: Shooting Victim Walks Into Area Hospital (Photo)

41-year-old Nathan Steven Newitt was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Assault in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

He will be arraigned on Tuesday.

Assault Detectives have arrested a 41-year-old man in connection with this morning's shooting in Northeast Portland.

The victim, 42-year-old Jason Reed Jacoby, suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot would to a leg this morning after getting into an argument with the suspect. The victim and suspect lived together.

The suspect's name, charges and booking photo will be released as soon as he is booked into the Multnomah County Jail.

This morning, April 14, 2014, at 4:18 a.m., East Precinct police officers responded to an area hospital on a report that a shooting victim had been dropped off at the location with non-life-threatening wounds. Officers responded and were able to determine a possible crime scene location in North Precinct and get the name of a potential suspect.

North Precinct officers responded to he location in the 3300 block of N.E. 127th Ave. At the location officers located and detained a possible suspect. Detectives are still investigating this incident. Further updates will follow as more information becomes available.
