SERT Responding to an Active Tactical Incident in Southwest Portland

The Portland Police Bureau Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) is responding to the area of Southwest Capitol Highway and Primrose Street to assist Central Precinct officers with an active tactical situation involving an armed man loose in the neighborhood.

Residents in the area are asked to remain in their homes and immediately call 9-1-1 to report suspicious activity.

Media staging at this point is Southwest 41st Avenue and Capitol Highway. Access to this area is best reached from the South on Capitol Highway (nearest major intersection is Capitol Highway and Taylors Ferry Road)
