###ORIGINAL MESSAGE BELOW###
On Friday April 25, 2014, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Portland Police Bureau will be holding a large-scale training scenario at Multnomah University, located at 8435 Northeast Glisan Street.
The training will cover various urban scenarios involving mass crowd control events. Emergency responders from across the Pacific Northwest will be observing and participating in this event as an opportunity to practice response plans in the safe environment of scenario-based training.
Multnomah University has partnered with the Police Bureau to allow this training event to occur on their campus.
To insure a safe training environment, campus access is being restricted to staff, faculty and students only with Multnomah ID.
The training will impact the Multnomah University community on Friday in the following ways:
* Campus access will be limited. Staff, faculty and students will need their Multnomah ID card to enter campus that day.
* Staff, faculty and students should park at Central Bible Church. On-campus parking will be limited to visitors in two small parking areas that day. Visitors may park in the circle in front of Sutcliffe Hall and the small lot next to the Helen Carson House.
* There will be loud noises, including flash bangs.
Kristina Rhodes, Multnomah University's Communications Specialist, is helping coordinate the event with emergency responders. Questions regarding Multnomah University should be directed to her at (503) 251-6469 or email@example.com.
