The Portland Police Bureau's Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public's help in locating 43-year-old John Edwards Gade, who failed to return home to his group home from an appointment this morning, May 1, 2014.
Gade was provided a ride to the area of Southeast Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard and Division Street, and was seen at his appointment at about 10:25 a.m. Gade is believed to have wandered away from the location on foot, and may have last been seen in the area of Southeast 41st Avenue and Division Street at about 10:40 a.m. Police were notified of Gade's missing status at approximately 2:40 p.m. this afternoon.
Gade suffers from mental health issues which would likely interfere with his ability to return home safely on his own.
Gade is described as a white male, 43 years old, 5'7", 180 pounds, with shaggy brown hair, and brown eyes. He has approximately 2 weeks of facial hair growth, and was last seen wearing an older, baggy orange t-shirt, and baggy, faded blue jeans.
Gade often may stare, and may appear non-responsive.
Anyone who knows of Gade's whereabouts is asked not to approach him, but to immediately call 9-1-1. Anyone with non-emergency information about this case is asked to contact Detective Mike Weinstein, at (503) 823-0446, or email@example.com.
