North Precinct Officers Investigating Two Separate Shots Fired Incidents - No Known Victims

This evening, Monday May 12, 2014, at 7:04 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to Peninsula Park, located at 700 North Rosa Parks Way, on the report of gunshots heard in the area and several African American males seen running though the park.

Officers arrived and located evidence of gunfire on the eastside of the park but did not locate any victims or suspects.

At 7:21 p.m., officers responded to the 4000 block of Northeast 13th Avenue on the report of multiple gunshots heard in the area.

Officers arrived and located evidence of gunfire but did not locate any victims or suspects. Several officers are searching both neighborhoods for suspects and/or victims.

Both incidents appear to be gang-related and the Gang Enforcement Team is responding to investigate.

It is not known if these two incidents are related to each other.
