UPDATE - Public's Help Sought Locating a Missing 44-Year-Old Man from St. Johns Neighborhood (Photo)

44-year-old Jeffrey Lee Brooks has been located and is no longer considered a missing person.



The Portland Police Bureau's Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public's help located a missing, possibly endangered 44-year-old St. Johns Neighborhood man.

Jeffrey Lee Brooks left his residence on May 4, 2014, in North Portland's St. Johns Neighborhood and has not been heard from since that time. Brooks left behind all of his belongings, clothing and medication. Family does not believe that Brooks has any money or anyplace to go and may be at risk of self-harm.

Brooks was reported missing on Monday May 12, 2014.

Brooks is described as a white male, 5'7" tall, 210 pounds, light-colored hair, balding, thick mustache, last see wearing a bright yellow Columbia Sportswear jacket with blue accents, and an Old Navy army green "Fidel-style" hat.

The photo being released is from 2009.

Brooks has no phone and no car and is a TriMet user.
