On Saturday May 10, 2014, at approximately 12:34 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of gunshots being fired in the parking lot of the Fortune Star Lounge, located at 15920 Southeast Division Street.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted several people who'd been standing outside the lounge at the time of the shooting. Nobody was hit by gunfire and witnesses provided information to officers that assisted in the investigation. Investigators learned that the suspect fired multiple rounds from his vehicle then sped out of the area.

On Sunday May 11, the suspect vehicle was located and towed by officers from the Gresham Police Department.

Follow-up investigation by detectives led to the identification of 31-year-old Michael Stockton as the suspect in the shooting.

Stockton was arrested on Wednesday May 14 at his place of employment without incident and booked into the Multnomah County Jail on two counts of Attempted Aggravated Murder, one count of Attempted Murder, three counts of Attempted Assault in the First Degree, and one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

This investigation is continuing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Det. Arjay Dran at (503) 823-0483, arjay.dran@portlandoregon.gov.
