East Precinct Investigating a Shooting in Southeast Portland's Pleasant Valley Neighborhood

This afternoon, Friday May 16, 2014, at 3:33 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 12800 block of Southeast Foster Road.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the male adult victim who was suffering from an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim has been transported to a Portland hospital for treatment.

The suspect left the scene and is out of the area. Preliminary information indicates that the victim and suspect know each other.

The investigation is continuing and there is no further information available at this time.

The shooting is not gang-related.
