17-year-old Samantha Jean Williamson and her 20-month-old son were safely located by police this afternoon in Sweet Home, Oregon. They are no longer considered missing.

The Portland Police Bureau's Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public's help in locating a missing 17-year-old girl and her 20-month-old son.

Just after midnight this morning, Samantha Jean Williamson ran away from her residential facility with her young son. Williamson lives in the 2600 block of Northwest Alexandria Avenue and is a ward of the state.

Williamson is described as a white female, 5'9", 190 pounds, and red hair that is shaved on the sides of her head. It is not known what type of clothing she or the child is wearing today.

Multiple officers, including members of the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue, have searched the surrounding area for signs of Williamson and the child but have not located her. The Portland Police Air Support Division is continuing to look for them from the air.

Due to her age and the age of the child, police are concerned for her welfare and the welfare of her 20-month-old child and would like members of the public to keep an eye out for them.

Anyone seeing Williamson and the child are asked to call 9-1-1. Anyone with non-emergency information is asked to contact Detective Lori Fonken at (503) 823-1081 or lori.fonken@portlandoregon.gov.
