UPDATE: Central Precinct Officers Respond to Shooting at Downtown Nightclub

The Gang Enforcement Team is continuing to investigate the shooting at the East China Lounge that occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday June 8, 2014.

29-year-old Denson Fleurima of Northeast Portland was injured during the shooting but will survive his injuries.

There have been no arrests in this case and there is no suspect information to share at this time.

This morning, June 8, 2014, at 1:42 a.m., Central Precinct officers received a call of a possible shooting or stabbing at 322 NW Everett, the East China Lounge. Officers arrived and learned that a a 29-year-old male had been shot in the abdomen. The initial scene was very chaotic but officers were able to secure the area and the victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.

Portland Police Bureau detectives and gang investigators have responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing. There is no suspect description at this time.
