Gang Enforcement Team Investigating a Shooting in Northeast Portland's Woodlawn Neighborhood - No Known Injuries

This evening, Tuesday June 10, 2014, at 10:28 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to multiple reports of gunshots heard in the area of Northeast Dekum Street and Winona Street, along the South side of Woodlawn Park.

Officers arrived in the area and located evidence of gunfire in the street and spoke to several neighborhood residents.

Preliminary information indicates that after the shots were fired, a large group of young people ran out of Woodlawn Park.

No gunshot victims were located at the scene and none have arrived at any Portland hospitals.

Officers and Criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Division are processing the crime scene and will turn the information over to the Gang Enforcement Team for further investigation.

The Portland Police Bureau Gang Enforcement Team and Gun Task Force are continuing to actively investigate gang and gun crimes in the City of Portland.
