Shooting Investigation Overnight Near North Portland's McCoy Park - No Known Injuries

On Tuesday June 11, 2014, at 11:53 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to North Fessenden Avenue and Fiske Street after multiple reports of shots fired near McCoy Park.

Officers arrived and located evidence of gunfire, including a damaged vehicle and gunshots into a POD storage container.

No gunshot victims were located at the scene nor arrived at any Portland hospitals. The only witnesses were residents who heard the shots and called 9-1-1.

Officers and Criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Division processed the crime scene and will turn over the information to the Gang Enforcement Team for follow-up.

The Portland Police Bureau Gang Enforcement Team and Gun Task Force are continuing to actively investigate gang and gun crimes in the City of Portland.
