On Sunday June 22, 2014, at 12:37 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the Syrian Lebanese American Club, located at 11610 Southeast Holgate Boulevard, on the report of a fight and stabbing.

As officers were en route to the scene, additional information was broadcast that a total of three people were stabbed and that two of the three left the scene to go to a hospital and that the suspect ran out of the area.

Witnesses described the suspect to officers, who located him a few blocks away on 114th Avenue near Boise Street.

The suspect, 23-year-old Christopher Pantoja, was taken into custody without incident then treated by medical personnel for injuries he suffered during the fight. Witnesses identified Pantoja to police as the suspect in the stabbing.

Police contacted one stabbing victim at the scene and two stabbing victims at Portland area hospitals and none of their injuries were life-threatening.

Pantoja was charged with three counts of Assault in the Second Degree and booked into the Multnomah County Jail.

Pantoja will be arraigned on Monday in Multnomah County Court.
