Downtown Pizza Place Robbed on Saturday Evening - Suspect Arrested

On Saturday June 21, 2014, at 7:28 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to Hot Lipps Pizza, located at 633 Southwest 19th Avenue on the report of a robbery.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted employees who had detained the suspect for police. Employees told police that the suspect entered the business, implied he had a gun, and demanded money.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect attempted to leave the area but was detained by employees until police arrived. No gun was located on the suspect.

The suspect, 60-year-old Ronald Sutton, was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on a charge of Robbery in the Second Degree.
