Lents Neighborhood Gas Station Robbed by Man Implying a Weapon

This evening, Wednesday July 30, 2014, at 9:11 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a robbery at the Shell Gas Station, located at 5524 Southeast 82nd Avenue.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted employees who told police that the suspect entered the gas station market and demanded money while implying he had a weapon.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left the store and was last seen walking southbound on Southeast 83rd Avenue.

Several officers, including a K-9 Unit, checked the neighborhood but did not locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-20s, 6'0" tall, 170 pounds, wearing a straw hat, unknown color shirt, and blue jeans.
