Man Walking on Steel Bridge Wires Arrested for Trespassing, Disorderly Conduct (Photo)

This morning, Saturday August 2, 2014, at 5:55 a.m., Central and North Precinct officers responded to the Steel Bridge on the report that a man was walking on the wires between the two tallest towers of the bridge.

Officers arrived and saw the man, later identified as 21-year-old Benjamin Nathan Lovitz, walking on the wires high above the bridge surface.

Officers climbed up to the bridge tender's platform and Lovitz climbed down to them and was arrested.

Lovitz was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree and Criminal Trespass in the First Degree.
