On Wednesday August 6, 2014, the Portland Police Bureau will be providing an enhanced presence in and around Providence Park for the 2014 Major League Soccer All-Star Game.

The game is a sellout and police are expecting a very festive and safe evening for all in attendance.

Traffic will not be allowed on Southwest 18th Avenue, between Salmon and Morrison Streets and persons attending the game are encouraged to use TriMet.

Officers from Central Precinct, the Traffic Division, Transit Police, and the Mounted Patrol Unit will all be in the area to keep everyone safe.

As with any major event, people seeing something suspicious are encouraged to report it immediately to Providence Park Security or the nearest police officer. Emergencies should immediately be reported to 9-1-1.
