Stabbing Investigation Underway in Northeast Portland's Wilkes Neighborhood - Two Injured (Photo)

This evening, Friday August 8, 2014, at 8:14 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the 15900 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard on the report of a disturbance.

As officers were en route to the area, additional information was received that several people were fighting, some armed with knives.

Officers arrived and located two stabbing victims, one male and one female, in the parking lot. Both victims were transported to a Portland hospital for treatment to what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary information indicates that two victims, residents of the complex, were confronted by a group of Hispanic males and that someone in the group stabbed both victims.

The victim's do not appear to have any gang affiliation but the suspects are being described to police as Hispanic gang associates.

The Gang Enforcement Team is responding to investigate the incident.
