Victim Robbed of iPhone on the Failing Street Pedestrian Bridge

On Friday August 8, 2014, at 9:30 p.m., a North Precinct officer was flagged down near the Failing Street Pedestrian Bridge over I-5, located at North Failing Street and Maryland Avenue, on the report that a person was robbed of an iPhone.

The victim told the officer that the suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, 5'6" tall, wearing a black baseball cap, a black hoody or t-shirt, blue jeans, carrying a messenger-style bag, last seen running eastbound across the bridge.

The victim and suspect struggled over the phone and the victim received minor injuries.

Officers searched the neighborhood but did not locate anyone matching the suspect's description.
