North Precinct Responds to Two Overnight Robberies, Same Suspect Believed to be Involved in Both

On Saturday August 9, 2014, at 5:14 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at the Shell Gas Station, located at 15 Northeast Broadway.

Officers responded to the location and established a neighborhood perimeter to contain the suspect. While waiting for a K-9 Unit to respond, a second armed robbery call was dispatched at 5:25 a.m. to the Plaid Pantry location at 2010 North Killingsworth Street.

The suspect description in both robberies was nearly identical. Officers searched the neighborhood near Plaid Pantry but did not locate anyone matching the suspect's description.

The suspect is described as an African American female in her early 20s, shorter than 5'5" tall, stocky build, wearing a tan baseball cap, a dark-colored tank-top with a bright print pattern, lycra-style neon-colored shorts, flip flops, armed with a handgun.

There were no injuries in either robbery.
