UPDATE #2 - East Precinct and Transit officers respond to a report of a stabbing

Officers investigating this incident have arrested a second male juvenile in connection with this case. The investigation has revealed that two subjects assaulted the victim in this incident. The victim, also a male juvenile, used a box-cutter to defend himself. The investigation is ongoing.

###UPDATE #1###

The investigation is on going but officers have arrested a male juvenile in this incident for assault in the 3rd degree. The assault occurred on a MAX train near the Main Street Transit Station. The individual transported as a result of this incident suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is at an area hospital. Investigators are continuing to exam evidence in this case. Officers have identified and located both parties in this incident and no suspects are outstanding.

Today, August 8, 2014 at 2:08 p.m., East Precinct and Transit Police officers responded to a report of stabbing in the 1100 Block of S.E. 96th Avenue. Officers have arrived and secured the scene. At least one individual has been transported to an area hospital. It is early in the investigation and the severity of the injuries are not known at this time.

Officers are continuing to secure the area and conduct an investigation into this incident.
