The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to locate a fugitive in a shooting investigation.

31-year-old Robert Jay James Jr. has a felony warrant for Attempted Aggravated Murder in connection with a May 2014 shooting in Portland, Oregon.

This investigation started on May 2, 2014, at 3:45 a.m., when officers responded to the report of a shooting at a residence in the 8400 block of Southeast Brooklyn Street. The 31-year-old victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting.

Detectives learned that the shooting occurred at the suspect's residence during a dice game and were able to determine that James was the suspect in the shooting.

James is described as an African American male, 5'11" tall, and 195 pounds. Investigators believe James has relatives in Portland and Las Vegas, Nevada.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
