On Thursday August 21, 2014, at 8:51 p.m., East Precinct officers responded Southeast 143rd Avenue and Powell Boulevard on the report of a car into a house and the driver running away. Additional information was received that a witness thought the driver was possible a gunshot victim.

Several officers arrived in the area and located the vehicle crashed into a fence, rather than a house.

A neighborhood search for the driver was conducted but nobody matching the driver's description was located by police.

The driver was described as a white or Hispanic male, 6'0" tall, medium build, short hair or bald, heavily tattooed, carrying two bags.

A witness described hearing a gunshot prior to the crash but officers have not located any evidence of gunfire.

The vehicle has a damaged ignition but is not a reported stolen car.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Police Non-Emergency Line at (503) 823-3333.
