10/06/2015 UPDATE #2: Homicide Detectives Responding to Conduct a Death Investigation in North Portland (Photo)

The victim in last night's homicide has been identified as 33-year-old Gerardo Granados-Marin.

The Medical Examiner determined that he suffered multiple sharp force injuries and ruled his death a homicide.

There is no suspect information at this time.

The photo of the victim is a 2003 Oregon Driver's License photo.

10/06/2015 Drugs and Vice Division Officers Seize 12.5 pounds of Meth and a Firearm - Two Arrested (Photo)

In the past three days, Portland Police Bureau Drugs and Vice Division (DVD) officers made two different drug seizures related to traffic stops in the Portland metro area.

One stop resulted in the seizure of 4.5 pounds of methamphetamine and the other stop resulted in the seizure of 8 pounds of methamphetamine and a handgun.

Two people were arrested as a result of this investigation.

Jaime Hurtado Sanchez was booked into the Clackamas County Jail on charges of Delivery and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Jesus Felipe Florez-Meza was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Delivery and Possession of Methamphetamine.

The estimated street value of the seized methamphetamine is $227,000.

DVD works closely with other local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to investigate and eliminate illegal drug trafficking organizations (DTO's) in the Portland area and provides training and education on drug trends and illegal drug activity to other divisions within the Police Bureau as well as the community.*-..

10/06/2015 UPDATE - TRUCK FOUND, TOFU MISSING: Delivery Truck Containing Tofu and Organic Drinks Stolen in Southeast Portland's Richmond Neighborhood (Photo)

At 1:15 p.m. today, a resident in the area of Southeast 85th Avenue and Lafayette Street called police to report an abandoned box truck on the street.

Officers arrived and located the truck that was stolen earlier in the day from Safeway.*-..

10/06/2015 Report of Two Armed Men Near Grant High School Not Verified - No Suspects Located

On Tuesday October 6, 2015, at 12:36 p.m., North Precinct and Youth Services Division officers responded to the report of two men with guns walking southbound on Northeast 33rd Avenue from Knott Street towards Grant High School.

Officers arrived in the area and learned additional information that the two men, both white males in their teens or early-20s, were carrying what appeared to be semi-automatic rifles slung across their chests.

Several officers canvassed the area as area schools, including Grant High School and both Beverly Cleary Schools went into lockdown.

Neither suspect was located, no reports of any actual threats and no determination if the guns were real.

10/05/2015 Three Arrested, Three Guns Seized by Gang Enforcement Team Officers (Photo)

On Saturday October 3, 2015, at 5:39 p.m., Gang Enforcement Team (GET) and Transit Police Division officers were patrolling the area of Woodlawn Park in Northeast Portland when they contacted the occupants of a car parked at Northeast Claremont Avenue and Dekum Street.

10/05/2015 UPDATE: Public's Help Sought to Locate a Missing 13-Year-Old

13-year-old William "Jazz" Richard-Ricke returned home on Sunday and is no longer considered a missing person.

The Missing Persons Unit would like to thank the public for sharing this information.



The Portland Police Bureau's Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public's help to locate 13-year-old William Richard-Ricke.

William, who goes by the nickname "Jazz," is a male who identifies as a female.*-..

10/04/2015 UPDATE: Homicide Detectives Investigating a Shooting Death Outside a Southeast Portland Nightclub (Photo)

The victim killed in Saturday morning's homicide outside the Pallas Club has been identified as 45-year-old Maurice Anthony Gatson (photo attached).

The Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy this morning and determined that Gatson was a victim of homicide after being shot multiple times.

Detectives have little suspect information or motive at this time.

On Saturday October 4, 2015, at 12:45 a.m., East Precinct and Gang Enforcement Team (GET) officers responded to the report of someone shot outside the Pallas Club, located at 13639 SE Powell Boulevard.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located one gunshot victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Patrol and K-9 officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Homicide detectives, Criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Division and the Medical Examiner responded to conduct an investigation into the shooting.*-..

10/04/2015 Gang-Related Shooting Overnight in Northeast Portland's Lloyd District - No Known Victims (Photo)

On Sunday October 4, 2015, at 1:04 a.m., North Precinct and Gang Enforcement Team (GET) officers responded to Northeast 19th Avenue and Broadway on the report of a disturbance and shooting.

Officers arrived in the area and located evidence of gunfire, including damage to an apartment building and a parked vehicle.

Numerous witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and hearing cars speed out of the area.

Based on information learned at the scene, GET officers assumed control of the investigation.

10/03/2015 UPDATE #4: Shooting Outside Northeast Glisan Bar - One Deceased, Two Others Injured - Suspect in Custody (Photo)

The victim's killed in Friday night's shooting have been identified as 30-year-old Eric Jacob Takemoto and 42-year-old Anthony Michael Howard.

The identity of the victim injured in the shooting has not been verified and will be released on Sunday.

No further details are anticipated to be released in this case until Monday October 3, 2015.
