The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspects involved in two assaults involving a pellet gun.

03/04/2015 Stickers Posted Around Schools Pose No Danger to Community

In the past week, several stickers were posted in and around some Portland Public Schools that caused alarm for students, staff and parents.

The QR code and web address listed on the sticker led visitors to a webpage with a countdown clock with no additional information.

The Portland Police Youth Services Division, North Precinct and Portland Public Schools all have conducted an investigation into these stickers and have learned that they are part of a student-run "treasure hunt" of sorts, using smart phone app.*-..

03/04/2015 Suspect Arrested for Possession of Two Stolen Bikes, August 2014 Goat Theft (Photo)

On Tuesday March 3, 2015, Portland Police detectives arrested 18-year-old Oleg Stepanovich Plyushchev in connection with a stolen bike and stolen goat investigation.

Plyushchev was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Theft in the First Degree (three counts) and Computer Crime.

Detectives learned that Plyushchev was attempting to sell a stolen bicycle on Craigslist after the victim, 27-year-old Nicholas Carlson, called police to say he'd found his bike on Craigslist.*-..

02/28/2015 UPDATE #2: Shooting Investigation Underway in North Portland's Eliot Neighborhood - One Man Injured

20-year-old Esteban "Steve" Del Cid, the shooting victim from early Saturday morning, died today at a Portland hospital.

The Oregon State Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

This is now a homicide investigation and the public's help is needed to solve the case.

The man critically injured in a shooting early Saturday morning has been identified as 20-year-old Esteban "Steve" Del Cid of Tualatin, Oregon.

Del Cid remains in critical condition at a Portland hospital.

Homicide detectives are continuing to follow leads in this investigation and would like to hear from anyone with information.
