On Wednesday November 26, 2014, at 8:12 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to Waterfront Park on the report of several crows suffering seizures and flopping on the ground.

11/26/2014 Sex Offender Sentenced to 40 Years in Prison for a 2013 Kidnapping and Sexual Assault (Photo)

On Monday November 24, 2014, 34-year-old James Ezell Clark was sentenced to 40 years in prison for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman in 2013.

This investigation began on September 18, 2013, at 3:16 a.m., when Central Precinct officers responded to the area of Southeast 3rd Avenue and Main Street on the report of a sexual assault.*-..

11/26/2014 Portland Police Arrest Seven People During Evening Protest (Photo)  

On Tuesday November 25, 2014, Portland Police officers made seven arrests for unlawful behavior after a splinter group broke away from a very peaceful Ferguson demonstration in Downtown Portland.

Tuesday afternoon's demonstration and march that started and ended at the Justice Center was peaceful, well attended and there were no reported problems during the march.

After the organized event ended, a separate group broke away and began a second march that wound its way through Downtown Portland, across the Burnside Bridge and onto Southeast Grand Avenue.

At Southeast Grand Avenue and Oak Street, a driver seated in a vehicle was assaulted by a member of the crowd.*-..

11/25/2014 Rapist Sentenced to 28 Years in Prison for Two Sexual Assaults (Photo)

On Monday November 24, 2014, the suspect in two sexual assaults was sentenced to 28 years in prison for sexually assaulting two young women in Portland.

79-year-old Dorothy Larson has returned home and is safe.



The Portland Police Bureau's Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public's help to locate missing 79-year-old Dorothy Larson of North Portland.

Dorothy was last seen on Monday November 24, 2014, at 3:00 p.m., when she left her home to drive to a friend's house in Northeast Portland.*-..

11/25/2014 Portland Police to Celebrate G.R.E.A.T. Families Graduation in Multnomah Village (Photo)

Today, November 25, 2014, at 6:00 p.m., the Portland Police Bureau's G.R.E.A.T. Program will be honoring families who participated in six-week G.R.E.A.T. Families program taught by Portland Police officers.

The celebration will be held at the Stephens Creek Crossing Community Room, located at 6715 Southwest 26th Avenue.

Officers Angel Ocasio and Mike Paresa will be among those honoring the families who participated in the program.

24-year-old Bradly Sean Miller was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Burglary in the Second Degree, Aggravated Theft in the First Degree and three counts of Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree.

On Saturday November 22, 2014, at 1:59 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to a residence in the area of Southeast 92nd Avenue and Holgate Street on the report that a woman was attacked in the area.

Officers arrived and spoke with the 30-year-old victim who told police that she was walking home when she was approached by two men who started talking to her then grabbed her and dragged her onto a side street.

The victim told police she was walking northbound on 92nd Avenue and passed Insley Street, where she saw the two men approach her from Insley.*-..
