70-year-old Serafin Gonzalez-Ceja is safe and back with family.



The Portland Police Bureau's Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public's help to locate 70-year-old Serafin Gonzalez-Ceja.

Serafin reportedly walked away from his son's home in the area of North Shaver Street and Vancouver Avenue this afternoon, Wednesday December 7, 2016, around 1:00 p.m.

Serafin is described as a male Hispanic, 5'6" tall, 130 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes, trimmed beard, walks with a limp, and speaks Spanish with limited English.*-..

On Thursday December 1, 2016, at 7:11 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the Mini Mart Express, located at 16437 Southeast Powell Boulevard, on the report of a robbery where the suspect fired a shot.

Officers arrived in the area and spoke to the employee who told police that the suspect entered the store, armed with a handgun, and pointed it at the employee as he demanded money.*-..

12/02/2016 UPDATE #2: Fatal Traffic Crash on Swan Island - Major Crash Team Investigating

The driver killed in Wednesday morning's crash was identified as 47-year-old Kyle Andrew Cline of Northeast Portland.

The truck driver involved in the crash was identified as 49-year-old Michael Dungey of Vancouver, Washington.

The investigation into the crash is continuing and once completed, it will be forwarded to the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office for review.



North Basin Avenue was reopened to regular traffic at approximately 10:00 a.m. after investigators cleared the crash scene.

The driver killed has tentatively been identified as a 47-year-old male.*-..
