02/11/2016 Suspect Fires Gunshots at Victim Over Camping Dispute in Downtown Portland - No Known Injuries

On Thursday February 11, 2016, at 8:36 p.m., Central Precinct responded to Northwest Naito Parkway under the Broadway Bridge on a second hand report that someone was firing a gun under the bridge.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted witnesses who told police that two homeless men were arguing over a camping spot when one of the men pulled a handgun and fired several shots towards the other man.*-..

02/10/2016 Driver Arrested After Nearly Hitting Construction Workers, Attempting to Elude Police in Downtown Portland (Photo)

On Wednesday February 10, 2016, a 29-year-old man was arrested after leading police on two separate slow-speed traffic pursuits in Downtown Portland.

The driver, 29-year-old Frederick John Dekraker, was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Attempt to Elude by Vehicle (two counts), and Reckless Driving (two counts), Recklessly Endangering Workers (four counts). He will be arraigned on Thursday.

At 9:46 a.m., two Family Services Division officers attempted to stop a dark blue 2001 Chevrolet Suburban on Southwest 3rd Avenue near Washington Street for traffic violations.*-..

On Tuesday February 9, 2016, at 4:06 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the REI parking garage, located at 1405 Northwest Johnson Street on the report that two suspects, one wearing a black mask and the other tying a bandana over his face, were seen walking into the parking garage.

02/05/2016 Mother Arraigned on Criminal Mistreatment Charges Connected to Her Boyfriend's Sexual Activity with Her Child

On Friday February 5, 2016, 42-year-old Janet Lynn Porter was arraigned in Multnomah County Court on six counts of Criminal Mistreatment in the First Degree, a felony, after her indictment by a Multnomah County Grand Jury.

Porter was arraigned out of custody and was not booked into jail on the charges.

The indictment stems from an October 2015 investigation that started when her boyfriend, 41-year-old Thomas Gene Duncan Jr., was arrested after a federal investigation into child pornography.*-..
