07/22/2016 26-Year-Old Woman Arrested for Attempting to Elude Police in a Stolen Vehicle (Photo)

On Thursday July 21, 2016, at 10:53 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report that a woman stole a truck and trailer in the area of North Lombard Street and Alma Avenue.

Officers responding to the area spotted the stolen truck and attempted to stop the driver near North Lombard Street and Interstate 5.

The driver initially stopped then sped away from officers southbound on I-5. The driver led police on a pursuit onto I-405, exiting at NW Vaughn Street, then pulling back on to I-405 and eventually I-5 southbound.

Officers from the Oregon State Police, Tigard Police and Tualatin Police Departments assisted with the pursuit and eventually got spike strips laid down on the freeway near the I-5/I-205 interchange.*-..

07/18/2016 Shooting Investigation Underway in King Neighborhood - No Known Injuries

On Monday July 18, 2016, at 3:01 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of gunfire in the 5700 block of Northeast Mallory Avenue.

Officers arrived in the area and located evidence of gunfire and spoke with several witnesses, who told police the heard several shots and saw a smaller white car speed away.

No gunshot victims were located at the scene or arrived at any area hospitals and there is no reported damage.

Officers at the scene learned that the shooting may have stemmed from an ongoing dispute among known individuals.

No suspects were located at the scene and the Gang Enforcement Team responded to conduct an investigation.*-..
