07/24/2015 Central Precinct Street Crimes Unit Seizes Large Quantity of Heroin, Two Vehicles and $85,000 Cash - One Man Arrested (Photo)

On Thursday July 23, 2015, Central Precinct Street Crimes Unit (SCU) officers arrested 36-year-old Neil Mackenzie Shaw after an investigation into heroin distribution on the streets of Portland.

Shaw was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Manufacturing, Delivery and Possession of Heroin, as well as four misdemeanor drug charges.

07/23/2015 UPDATE: Hit and Run Investigation Underway in Southeast Portland's Mill Park Neighborhood

Yesterday's hit and run victim, 48-year-old Kevin McNerney, remains in critical condition at a Portland hospital.

Detectives are asking for the public's help to locate a dark-colored 2012 or 2013 Chevrolet Equinox SUV with yellow Oregon plates.

The man injured in this hit and run remains in a Portland hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Based on the investigation thus far, this incident is being investigated as a potential assault rather than just a hit and run and, due to the man's medical condition, Homicide detectives are leading the investigation.

Nobody has been arrested and there is no additional information regarding the suspect vehicle or driver.

On Wednesday July 22, 2015, at 1:24 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a hit and run in the Taco Bell parking lot, located at Southeast 126th Avenue and Division Street.

The suspect in this case has been identified by Portland Police Bureau Robbery detectives and is currently receiving medical treatment at a secure medical facility.

He has not been arrested and his name will not be released at this time.



On Monday July 20, 2015, at 1:33 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of a robbery at the Plaid Pantry, located at 1465 North Hayden Island Drive.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted the victim who told police that the suspect was armed with a knife and demanded money.*-..

07/20/2015 Shooting Investigation Underway in East Portland's Glenfair Neighborhood - No Known Injuries (Photo)

On Monday July 20, 2015, at 4:35 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a gunfire at 160th Avenue and East Burnside Street.

Officers arrived in the area and spoke to witnesses who described hearing several gunshots and seeing two African American males run from the scene, one armed with a handgun.

The suspect armed with a handgun is described as an African American male, stocky build, cornrowed hair, wearing a white shirt and black shorts.

The second suspect is described as an African American male, lighter skin, 6'5" tall, dread-locked hair, wearing a blue shirt.

Officers located damage to at least two residences at the Tree Crest Apartments, located at 16047 East Burnside Street.

No gunshot victims were located at the scene or have arrived at any area hospitals.

07/19/2015 Burglary Suspects Arrested at Southeast Portland Storage Facility (Photo)

On Sunday July 19, 2015, at 5:15 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a burglary in progress at the Public Storage, located at 2542 Southeast 105th Avenue.

Several officers, including a Police K-9, arrived in the area and were able to quickly apprehend the suspects without incident.

25-year-old Phillicia Lorianne Johnsen and 20-year-old Enrique Manuel Delacruz were arrested on two counts of Burglary in the Second Degree and booked into the Multnomah County Jail.*-..
