On Tuesday January 20, 2015, at 2:50 p.m., the Portland Police Bureau G.R.E.A.T. Program will be honoring students at Hosford Middle School, located at 2303 Southeast 28th Place.

Officers Tracy Ballew, Jessica Brainard and Mike Paresa will be celebrating the graduation and honoring the students hard work and achievement in the G.R.E.A.T. Program.

01/20/2015 East Precinct Neighborhood Response Team Investigating Richmond Neighborhood Car Prowls (Photo)

Officers assigned to the East Precinct Neighborhood Response Team (NRT) are investigating a series of car prowls in Southeast Portland's Richmond Neighborhood.

Many of these car prowls are clustered along Southeast Division Street, from 32nd to 45th Avenues and appear to be occurring between the hours of 12:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Surveillance photos of two possible suspect vehicles are being released to aid in this investigation.

One of the vehicles is described as a 1998 - 2000 aqua blue Ford Ranger pick-up with damage to the passenger side bed rail.*-..

01/19/2015 Major Crash Team Investigating Two-Vehicle Crash at SE 82nd and Yahmill - Traffic Affected (Photo)

On Monday January 19, 2015, at 8:43 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a two vehicle crash at Southeast 82nd Avenue and Yamhill Street.

Officers, firefighters and medical personnel arrived and began treating two injured parties in one of the vehicles, which veered after the collision and hit a building, severing a gas line.*-..

01/18/2015 UPDATE: Three Suspects in Custody After Sunday Morning Robbery Spree and Pursuit (Photo)

This afternoon, robbery detectives booked the three robbery suspects arrested today on a variety of charges.

18-year-old Patrick Dynell Jenkins was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Robbery in the First Degree (three counts) and Robbery in the Second Degree (three counts).

16-year-old Augugua Ukpabi and 15-year-old Tommy Lee Waters were lodged at the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Home on the same Measure 11 charges.

All three suspects will be arraigned on Tuesday.



On Sunday January 18, 2015, at 7:20 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to Northeast 19th Avenue and Killingsworth Street on the report of an armed robbery.

Officers contacted the victim who told police that he was robbed at gunpoint by three African American males who left the scene in a black 1990s Ford Crown Victoria.

At 8:09 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at Southeast 135th Avenue and Division Street.

Officers contacted the victim who told police that he was robbed at gunpoint by two African American males who left the area in a dark blue Ford Crown Victoria.

While officers were checking the surrounding neighborhood for the suspects, a third reported armed robbery occurred at Southeast 139th Avenue and Mill Street.

Officers checking the area spotted the suspect vehicle, a black 1997 Ford Crown Victoria, driving eastbound on Main Street from 162nd Avenue.*-..

On Saturday January 17, 2015, at 5:41 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at the Portland Market and Deli, located at 5411 Northeast Cully Boulevard.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted employees who told police that the suspect entered the market, armed with a handgun, and demanded money.*-..

On Saturday January 17, 2015, at 3:37 p.m., a handcuffed suspect ran police after being arrested in connection with a domestic violence investigation at a residence in the 15600 block of Southeast Stark Street.

The handcuffed suspect, 44-year-old Andrew Phillip McMichael, was being walked to a police car when he broke free of officers and ran across Stark Street southbound on 157th Avenue.*-..
