01/08/2013 Portland Police Arrest Public Indecency Suspect Outside Southeast Portland School

On Monday January 7, 2013, at 12:33 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct responded to the report of a man exposing himself and publicly masturbating outside the Creative Science School at Southeast 92nd Avenue and Main Street. As officers were enroute they received additional information that school staff and a Good Samaritan followed the suspect and took the man into custody and held him for police. Officers arrived and placed the 17-year-old male suspect into handcuffs. Officers transported the suspect home so that someone could translate for them as the suspect did not speak any English.*-..

01/07/2013 UPDATE #2: Portland Police Conducting a Death Investigation in Southeast Portland

The Oregon State Medical Examiner identified the man found dead on Saturday in Johnson Creek as 31-year-old Roger Hugh Shaw of Southeast Portland. Investigators learned that Shaw had been reported missing on January 3, 2013, and that he had a history of mental health issues and drug addiction. 01/06/2013 Non-Injury Shooting Outside Jody's Bar & Grill Results in Arrest - Gun Recovered

On Saturday January 5, 2013, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct officers responded to Jody's Bar and Grill, located at 12035 Northeast Glisan Street, on the report of a shooting in the parking lot. As officers were enroute, additional information was broadcast that the suspect and two females fled the area in a silver Ford Crown Victoria. Officers arrived and discovered a shell casing in the parking lot and a bullet strike to the Taco Bell building, which is located just to the west of Jody's.
