07/15/2013 CORRECTION: Driver in April 2013 Fatal Crash in Southeast Portland Issued Traffic Citations

Brian Kenny was 62 at the time of his death, not 61 as previously reported. ###PPB### ###ORIGINAL MESSAGE BELOW### 36-year-old Neftali Cabrera-Escobar has been issued two traffic citations as a result of an investigation into an April 2013 fatal crash involving a pedestrian. Cabrera-Escobar was given citations for Oregon Revised Statutes 811.135, Careless Driving Causing Death to a Vulnerable Road User; and, 807.010, No Operators License. The investigation started on Saturday April 13, 2013, at approximately 7:30 p.m., when Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct responded to the report of a pedestrian struck by a car in the 14200 block of Southeast Division Street. Officers, firefighters and medical personnel arrived and began treating the pedestrian, 61-year-old Brian Francis Kenny, for traumatic injuries.*-..

This afternoon, Friday July 12, 2013, at 2:37 p.m., Portland Police arrested one man after he violated park rules and refused to leave after being excluded by park officials. 66-year-old Michael Meo was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and booked into the Multnomah County Jail. Today, Friday July 12, 2013, at 12:52 p.m., officers assigned to the Transit Police Division arrested 20-year-old Devin Anthony McDonald after an investigation into the vandalism of TriMet ticket machines. Officers conducted an undercover surveillance mission today at the Rose Quarter Transit Station when McDonald was seen tampering with a ticket machine and was later taken into custody. Officers were investigating recent incidents where cigarette butts were being jammed into ticket machines to restrict change being given to customers.*-..
