On June 2, 2011, Portland Police officers arrested 28-year-old Jesse Michael Barto, a Southeast Portland resident, in connection with a vehicle crash and shooting that occurred on Wednesday June 1 at approximately 2:38 a.m. On June 1, officers responded to the area of Southeast 163rd Avenue and Division Street after a caller to 9-1-1 reported hearing the sound of a speeding vehicle and gunshots being fired. Officers arrived and found two vehicles that had been in some sort of crash but did not find any gunshot victims. Based on information at the scene, Gang Detectives were called to investigate.*-..
