Today, November 9, 2012, at 3:41 a.m., Portland Police officers contacted a 22-year-old man at North Ida Avenue and Central Street who was acting suspiciously and riding his bicycle without a light. The man began acting strangely and told officers that he had something for them and lifted up his shirt, exposing the handle of a large knife in his waistband. The officers grabbed onto the man's arms and removed the knife from his waistband.*-..

Thanks to a tip from the public, the Oregon State Medical Examiner was able to locate Kirk's sister and notify her of his death. Sadly, Kirk was discovered at Bybee Lake in North Portland on Sunday, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. 32-Year-Old Steven Wayne Gentry was arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Jail in connection with this afternoons bank robbery in Downtown Portland. The other two people detained were released and not involved in the robbery. Gentry was booked on a U.S. Marshal's Hold and will face Federal Bank Robbery Charges. Portland Police have identified the person killed in Friday afternoon's traffic crash as 47-year-old Belinda Kay Brambora of North Portland. Investigators were able to determine that Brambora was travelling westbound on Lombard in a Nissan 200SX when she lost control of the vehicle and crossed the centerline into oncoming traffic.*-..

The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help in identifying a hit and run suspect who killed a man in Southeast Portland's South Tabor neighborhood. On Wednesday October 31, 2012, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct responded to the report of a hit and run to a pedestrian at Southeast 71st Avenue and Powell Boulevard.
