03/21/2013 Missing Persons Detectives Seeking Owner or Information Regarding Found Property

On February 23, 2013, a man walking his dog along the water's edge on North Portland's Swan Island found some clothing and other items of value in the water, and turned them over to police. Photos of some of the more unique, and hopefully identifiable, pieces of clothing are included. On Thursday March 21, 2013, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct's Neighborhood Response Team (NRT) served a search warrant at a residence in the 2600 block of North Winchell Street, assisted by North Precinct patrol officers, the K-9 Unit, North Precinct Street Crimes Unit (SCU), and the Behavioral Health Unit (BHU). On Monday March 25, 2013, at 7:30 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct responded to a call from a community member who told police that the suspect in a recent church burglary was walking near Southeast 55th Avenue and Woodward Street. Officers arrived in the area and contacted the man, 45-year-old Jeffrey Dwayne Wilson, and took him into custody. 03/26/2013 Central Precinct Officers Arrest Suspected Bank Robber on Monday Afternoon

On Monday March 25, 2013, at approximately 4:15 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to Central Precinct responded to the Bank of America branch located at 517 Southwest Stark Street on the report of a bank robbery. Officers arrived in the area and contacted the bank, where they learned that the suspect did not use a weapon and left the bank without any money. Officers checking the area located a man matching the suspect's description at Southwest 3rd Avenue and Washington Street where they took him into custody without incident. Officers confirmed that the man detained was the suspect and turned the investigation over to Portland Police Robbery Detectives.
